Step 1: Choose a Location

Step 2: Gather Your Tools

You'll need a few tools to mount your pull up bar, including:

  • A drill
  • Drill bits
  • A level
  • A tape measure
  • A pencil
  • Screwdriver

Step 3: Mark the Holes

Put on your safety goggles, then use the level to draw a straight line on the wall where you want to mount the pull up bar. Measure the distance between the two mounting holes on the pull up bar, and mark these points on the wall.

Step 4: Drill the Holes

Use the appropriate size drill bit to drill the holes at the marked points. Make sure the holes are deep enough to fit the included bolts and anchors (usually 4 to 6 inches).

Step 5: Insert the Anchors

Insert the included anchors into the holes. Tap them in with a hammer until they are flush with the wall.

Step 6: Attach the Pull Up Bar

Align the pull up bar with the holes, and insert the included bolts through the holes in the bar and into the anchors. Tighten the nuts until the pull up bar is securely attached to the wall.

Step 7: Test the Pull Up Bar

Before using the pull up bar, it's important to test its stability by hanging a weight (e.g. a weighted vest) on the bar and swinging it around. If everything is secure, you can start using your pull up bar for your workouts.
